You are liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, except when additional insurance is in place. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities or purposes. This includes racing, off-roading, or engaging in any dangerous maneuvers. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose, and it is important to adhere to passenger and weight limits. Traveling outside the agreed geographical area requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law in England and Wales, Car Hire Rossendale is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent activities.
